Yom Kippur (Religious Observance) begins sundown 10/1 ends sundown 10/2

Description
This is an official FCCPS Religious Observance day. FCCPS will, as much as practical, not schedule the following activities on religious holidays:

  • Tests, quizzes, or other assessments;

  • Field trips, school pictures, guest speakers, or assemblies;

  • School-sponsored special events and activities (e.g., prom, back-to-school nights);

  • Sporting events (unless required by the Virginia High School League)

  • Auditions or tryouts that cannot be rescheduled; and

  • Safety drills which occur 1-2 times per year including tornado, earthquake, and lockdown drills.
