Oak Street Elementary SCA Winter Clothing Drive — December 1–17

The Oak Street Elementary SCA is excited to kick off our Winter Clothing Drive from December 1–17! We’d love your help spreading warmth in our community this season. Each grade is collecting a different item in adult sizes:

  • 3rd Grade: Gloves

  • 4th Grade: Socks

  • 5th Grade: Winter hats

All donations will be delivered to the Falls Church Homeless Shelter, where they’ll make a meaningful difference for our neighbors. Thank you so much for helping us share kindness this winter!

Soaring music and the exhilaration of world-class sorts inspire us all to greatness in this vivid portrayal of the lives of Jesse Owens and Wilma Rudolph. Watch them overcome childhood illness, infirmity, and poverty to become the world's fastest man and fastest woman, winning the greatest honor in athletics: the Olympic Gold medal. The score by John Cornelius II speaks to the heart and soul of the winner in all of us.

The magic of earth science takes center stage in this fun, interactive Discovery Theater original. Explore the origins of our planet, sing about the water cycle, and understand our vital role to protect the ecosystem. Science and folklore about the "big blue marble" we call home kick off Earth Month, and audiences become Earth Superheroes and take home some great ideas to start right away!
